I also add the moon phases down the side next to the days of the month as I love staying in tune with the moon. Joy time (basically doing something that brings me pure joy).Veggies (veggies with each main meal excl breakfast). You’ll see that I first start with a habit tracker, which is a graph with the days of the month down one axis and the things I’d like to track along another axis, in this case: I focus on goals and habits and create this spread anew each month. So here is a breakdown of how I use my bullet journal, with specific tips on how I use it for my health and wellbeing: Monthly Spread However, going back to pen and paper has been an experience, and now I can’t imagine not using my journal daily! I use a LEUCHTTURM 1917 dotted notebook, at least for the moment. I’d always been more of a digital girl loving Evernote as a tool for keeping me organised. To be honest, that version of bullet journalling didn’t really inspire me and it wasn’t until I started to see how creative people were getting with their journals that I decided to give it a try. If you’re not already familiar with what a bullet journal is, try checking out the official Bullet Journal website. Also, you can have a progress tracker for each assignment (like a rectangle of 10 squares per 1 square that you will be filling up as you get something done for the assignment) and teacher’s information. This blog post has been in the works for ages! I’ve spoken so many times about how much I love using my bullet journal and finally here is a post all about how I use it. On the left page, you will put your color code for classes and key (like a symbol for the classes you went, classes you missed, reports, exams, essays, presentations, etc). Edit 14/06/16: I changed a lot my trackers, will make another post soon! □ I put in the week number and I’m going to add the day number as well. You will have a calendar for each day you have classes (I only have it on week days, so I didn’t put a rectangle for saturday and sunday). I am using one now, but it’s not as pretty as this one that I came up with this week. □ But I’m taking care of myself, tracking this and eating healthy. Now that I’m tired all the time, it seems that I’m dying. I have a lot of chronic pain due to a car accident (it happened in the end of 2012), tendinitis, arrhythmia and gastritis. This is new to me, it’s my health tracker. And it is working! □Īlso, I changed my color code this week, so it’s a little messy, but my OCD can handle it for now. This semester is being horrible to me, I’m not getting enough sleep most of my days, so I thought that was a good idea to put this and force me to recover my strengths on weekends so I’m not dead on monday. If this is on the monthly tracker, I won’t see all the time, so it seems the commitment won’t be that big (to me, if I write it on my bujo, it should be accomplished, so it helps to have this kind of information on the spread).Īnd we get to my sleep tracker. I track things that are more transient, that I don’t need to know “how many times a month” I do, but if I did sometime this week. Speaking of weekly, here is my weekly spread for this week. As you can see, Yoga should be tracked yearly, apparently. Besides that, I’m not going to keep tracking some of this actions in my monthly tracker, like hydration, that I’ll track daily, and study sessions, that will be tracked weekly. I do it “vertically” so I don’t have to keep turning it over all the time. To me, the tracker importance is that it is a commitment, to do that a several times a month or a week, and to look back and see that you did or didn’t do, is an important information, from which you can get to a conclusion and take actions accordingly. On Facebook, I saw a lot of people stopping to use them because they forget to fill them every day, but that is not the point, for me. I find that it is easier to see when I do or don’t do something. I use a lot of trackers! I use one for the month, another for the week, and a sleep, a health and a study tracker. So, I was supposed to post on Tuesday, but I had a big essay to present in class, and was a little nervous, so I mostly couldn’t focus on anything else.
